Chair's Message

The Calgary Regional Partnership represents a new approach to solving regional issues through inter-municipal cooperation. It represents an organizational model, which allows municipalities and jurisdictions that share common challenges and goals, to work together to achieve substantial benefit for the entire region. Through the CRP, a number of participating communities including the City of Calgary, can leverage, pool resources, speak with a unified voice and take a more strategic approach to doing business.

The scope of projects the CRP is currently managing reflects the diversity of regional issues as well as demonstrating the CRP’s commitment to community, regional vitality, sustainability and future prosperity. This is an exciting initiative. We expect the CRP to continue its solid initial growth. Support from member communities has been excellent. One of our key activities is to ensure that member municipalities, residents and others interested in the Calgary Region are well informed of the issues and opportunities. This website is an important tool for ensuring effective internal communications and external marketing. We believe that through the effective and efficient distribution of information found on this web site, we will become closer to meeting the overall objectives of this joint cooperative partnership.

Sincerely,

Linda Bruce
Executive Committee Chair, Calgary Regional Partnership
Mayor, City of Airdrie
